Our Story
The passion behind Crescent Meats started long before the business itself. Our founder’s interest in meat processing began in childhood on a small family hobby farm, where beef and hogs were processed at home. That passion grew even stronger when homemade sausages became a family project alongside his father. In 1995, he opened a small seasonal meat processing plant in Pennsylvania, processing venison, beef, and hogs during the winter months—while still working full-time as a supervisor for a large construction company.
In 2003, alongside his wife and two children, he purchased a small meat processing plant in Cadott, Wisconsin. What followed was years of restoration, expansion, and determination. The plant was truly rebuilt from the ground up implementing additions over the years from the original 4,000 sq/ft to 12,500 sq/ft by 2016. Most recently in 2024 , Crescent Meats expanded by an additional 23,000 square feet and created new jobs and capacity, allowing us to better serve our customers and continue scaling the production of meat snacks. We have focused our company on growth in the shelf stable meat snack production. In addition to serving local customers and retailers, Crescent Meats continues to grow its private-label partnerships and distributor relationships. Behind many of the brands you know and love, you’ll find the craftsmanship and care of Crescent Meats.
Quality has always been our top priority. We use premium ingredients and high-quality meats, never cutting corners with fillers, excessive binders, or unnecessary fat. While this means our products may cost more, we believe the difference in quality, taste, and craftsmanship makes them well worth it. We continue to learn, improve, and refine our processes every day, combining old-fashioned meat processing values with modern technology.
We’re proud of where we started, grateful for the support of our community, and excited for what the future holds.
